Contact and corrections
Found an incorrect result, a difficult notation or a problem using a tool? Send enough detail to make the issue reproducible.
The Old Reckoner is an independent website created by Keanu Riggs. Email [email protected]. This opens your own email application; this page has no submission form.
For a calculation correction
- Name the tool and copy its page address.
- Include the amount or date and every selected setting, including the calendar and both comparison years where relevant.
- Describe the answer you obtained and the answer you expected.
- If possible, link to the historical or statistical source that supports the correction.
A shared result link includes its inputs in the address. Check it before sending, and avoid private information from family records. A cropped transcription of the relevant notation is usually enough; retain the full source reference in your own notes.
For a website or accessibility problem
Describe the page, what you were trying to do, your device and browser, and whether you were using a keyboard or assistive technology. Do not send passwords, account details or a full private document.
Before you write
The methods page explains the data range, rounding and calendar assumptions. For interpreting a record, the worked account and date-reading guide may resolve a difference caused by units or conventions.
Email is handled by the email provider; see the privacy policy for how the site handles browser calculations, preferences and advertising.
